With Windows Hello, you sign in to your computer with your fingerprint or face instead of a password. Requirement: the computer has a fingerprint reader or a suitable camera, and a Windows Hello PIN is set up.
Steps
Open Start › Settings › Accounts › Sign-in options.
Choose Facial recognition (Windows Hello) or Fingerprint recognition (Windows Hello) and click Set up.
Confirm with your PIN.
Follow the instructions: look into the camera or place your finger several times.
Finish with Close. For a second finger, choose Add another finger.
Note: Fingerprint and face data are stored only on your own device. If the option is missing or greyed out, the device doesn't support it or it is blocked on company devices.
