A few simple habits protect devices and company data outside the office.
Device
Lock your screen whenever you leave your desk: Windows Windows key + L, Mac Ctrl + ⌘ + Q.
Never leave devices unattended, e.g. in the car, on the train or in a café.
Install updates promptly and don't postpone restarts forever.
Network
On public Wi-Fi (hotel, café, train), only work with an active VPN connection or use your own smartphone's hotspot.
Protect your home Wi-Fi with a secure password.
Data
Store company data in OneDrive, SharePoint or on company servers, not locally or on USB sticks.
Don't send company data to private cloud services or private email addresses.
Watch out for people listening or reading along during calls and on screen.
Device lost or stolen? Inform support immediately so accounts can be locked and data protected.
