Updates close security gaps and fix bugs. This is how to check for and install them manually.
Steps
Open Start › Settings › Windows Update. On some Windows versions, it is under Update & Security.
Click Check for updates.
Start any updates found with Download & install or Install now.
Restart the computer when asked.
Note: On company devices, updates are often managed centrally. Some updates may therefore arrive later.
Note: If an update fails, restart the computer and try again. If the error persists, send the error code shown to support.
