Connect a network drive – macOS

This is how to connect a folder on a company server on a Mac. Access only works on the company network or via VPN.

Steps

  1. In the Finder menu bar, choose Go β€Ί Connect to Server … (⌘ + K).

  2. Enter the server address, e.g. smb://servername/share. Support will tell you the exact address.

  3. Click Connect.

  4. Sign in with domain\firstname.lastname and your password. Turn on Remember this password in my keychain so you don't need to enter it again.

  5. The drive appears in the Finder sidebar under Locations.

Tip: In the Connect to Server window, click + to save the address as a favorite.
