The VPN connection securely connects your device to the company network while on the go or working from home, e.g. for network drives or Remote Desktop. You sign in with your Microsoft company account (single sign-on).
One-time setup
Install Sophos Connect. On company devices, the client is usually already installed. Otherwise sign in to the VPN portal (address from it-tects), go to VPN › Download client for Windows or Download for macOS, download and install it.
Import the connection file: Double-click the file ending in .pro that it-tects sends you. The connection then appears in Sophos Connect.
Connect
Open Sophos Connect: on Windows via the icon in the bottom right of the taskbar, on Mac via the icon in the top right of the menu bar.
Click Connect for the connection.
Choose Single sign-on (SSO) and sign in with your Microsoft company account. Approve the sign-in in the Microsoft Authenticator app.
On Mac, depending on the setup, sign-in may open in your default browser. Then return to Sophos Connect.
The icon turns green once the connection is established.
Note: The very first time you connect, the sign-in appears twice. The first one downloads the settings, the second establishes the connection.
Disconnect
In Sophos Connect, click Disconnect for the connection.
Tip: If the wrong account is signed in or several people use the device, choose Force SSO re-login in the menu in the top right of Sophos Connect. If sign-in fails, ask it-tects for a current connection file.
